The older version of DepositFix did not have a form builder, so forms were manually created inside HubSpot pages by providing an embed code that is hardcoded in the page. This meant that editing and managing forms was very challenging, and often too technical for the average user, since it required you to edit the form embed code.
When DepositFix made the switch to the new form builder, this resolved all of those challenges, as the form builder allows you to have total control over your forms, what they do, and how they look.
Legacy forms will still work, but they are no longer supported, and all the new releases and features will not work with legacy forms. For example, deal creation, google and apple pay, etc, all are not compatible with Legacy forms.
We highly recommend switching your forms to the new form builder version, here's a checklist to help you make the move as seamless and smooth as possible.
- Copy your form embed code from your existing landing page, and keep it for backup.
- Create your new forms using the form builder, to match your existing forms. You can use the same HubSpot forms. More information on how to use the form builder here.
- Embed the code of the new form on your landing page, here's how to do that.
- Test your new page, check if the payment went through.
- Check your HubSpot workflows to see if you need to make any adjustments, in most cases, you will not need to make any changes to your workflows.
- Once you've verified that everything works as expected, you can start using your new forms without any interruption.
